Between the group of people and the distant coconut palms is the Sg Muda river mouth
The island of Bidan, Telur and Songsong appears on the horizon together with Pulau Sayak being viewed the largest from our perspective

Trips in the near future??
Have not decided yet. Probably do a reconnaissance of Kpg Kuala Muda, Kpg Kuala Sg Muda area. If my memory serves me well, the towns around this area have almost similar name but in different locations. Not another 'simpang empat syndrome' I hope.
What a day!
I finally reached home at 11.25pm. An hour stopped in Sg Bakap due to very heavy rain and wind. Another 30 minutes stop and cup noodles at BHP petrol station before the turn off to Pg Bridge along Jalan Baru, I was very tired indeed. 40 minutes wait for the ferry, it's no wonder they are running at a lost! 20 minutes break for some food and teh halia opposite the Penang Ferry Terminus, in front of Yeap Chor Ee's building.
Haha...when I left home this morning, I didn't see the sun rising and now I see the rising moon instead.

Severe weather conditions
Sorry, due to unfavourable weather conditions, I'm not able to take photographs from here onwards. Earlier from the foot bridge, it leads you through a village and unto Jalan Atas, Nibong Tebal. Shouldn't be a problem. The road takes you through town and the main trunk road, Route # 1.
From Kpg Sg Acheh on Route # P169
Just before the bend, you'll see a Pondok Polis on your left.
From Tg Piandang to Kpg Sg Acheh via Kpg Sg Bakau
This obscure turn off to Route # P167 ( the elusive yat loke chat !) is actually along the bend from Tg Piandang on Route # A190. You may miss it if you ride too fast.
Come to think of it, this nation has a funny way of promoting tourism to its locals. You can hardly get a 'real decent' road map of the country whatmore the countryside! I guess that makes it more interesting.... ya?? GPS on the iPhone couple with Google maps, ROCKS !! You never be lost again! Remember the hardrock pop group QUEEN .... We will we will rock you...yeah !!
From Tg Piandang on Route # A100. Turn left at T-junction to Parit Buntar/Bagan Serai. Take the bridge to Kuala Gula or road on the leftside of the bridge to Kuala Kurau
Like I said before, there are thousand and one ways to Kuala Gula (the inevitable 'Simpang Empat' again). This I presume is quite new as the authorities have yet to acertain a route number.
P.S. Click on the picture and you can see the 'new' bridge on the right side in the background.
Swiftlet breeding for birdnest harvesting industry
All around town and surrounding areas along the coast, you will find this on top of roof. Some even go to the extent of turning the whole house or vacant shoplot into breeding ground.
